Rejoice, loyal UBA audience: The Morning Show will soon return for Season 4. The last time we saw our girls Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon), Bradley was off to turn herself in to the FBI and Alex was heading back to UBA, where she now officially has a seat at the table after outsmarting her billionaire boyfriend, Paul Marks (Jon Hamm), by spearheading a merger between UBA and NBN.

The Apple TV+ drama left its two leads in completely different places in their lives and careers than they were when the third season began, and there are plenty of directions we can see the upcoming fourth season heading, especially with the host of new faces — like Marion Cotillard, William Jackson Harper, and Jeremy Irons — joining the cast. Also, they're tackling deepfakes and AI this season, so, you know, buckle up.

Read on to learn everything we currently know about The Morning Show Season 4.

The Morning Show Season 4 teaser

In July, Apple TV+ dropped the first teaser for The Morning Show Season 4, and it's just as dramatic as you'd expect from this show. The teaser finds Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) walking in slow motion in front of the UBA building, as the reflections of other cast members, like Billy Crudup's Cory and Greta Lee's Stella, pop up beside them. The enigmatic teaser contains no actual footage from the episodes to come, though we do get to hear a few musings from our favorite news anchors. "We have to stay together on this," Bradley insists. "I need to have a say in the future of this place," Alex replies. These do in fact seem like separate conversations, but what do we know?

The Morning Show Season 4 release date

In May, Apple TV+ announced that The Morning Show will return for its fourth season on Wednesday, Sept. 17. As was the case with the past three seasons, new episodes will drop weekly, with the finale airing on Nov. 19.

According to a press release from Apple, Season 4 of The Morning Show is doing a time jump, beginning in spring 2024, about two years after the events of Season 3. The press release continues, "With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives, and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what's actually real?"

Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt previously teased the appearance of "deepfakes and AI" in Season 4. "We get into the world of deepfakes and AI and the misinformation in the fog of war that we're seeing now in the Middle East and stuff," she told Deadline. She added that the season will explore questions like, "Can you trust yourself? Can you trust your news outlet?"

As for whether Bradley Jackson is headed to prison this season, Witherspoon won't say just yet, though she knows we're all wondering. "Everybody keeps asking me if Bradley's in jail," she said during a press conference in December 2023. "But I don't know if I'm in trouble."

In summation: There's plenty of story left to be told. "For now, I'd say these characters have more messes to make," Stoudt told Variety. "And the show's themes remain relevant. We haven't toppled patriarchy — yet."
