DAZN is a sports streaming platform that's making a name for itself by offering more than just the usual lineup. With a mix of women's soccer, extreme sports, motorsports, esports, and boxing, it's becoming a go-to destination for sports fans looking beyond the mainstream.
But what exactly is DAZN? Let's break it all down and learn whether or not DAZN is right for you in 2025.

DAZN
DAZNDAZN (pronounced "Da Zone") is a sports streaming service that gives fans access to live and on-demand sports content on various devices, including computers, smartphones, tablets, and TVs. It's currently available in over 200 markets, making it one of the largest sports streaming platforms in the world. Beyond just streaming games, DAZN integrates live betting and gaming features, creating a more interactive and engaging experience across hundreds of sports.
And who owns DAZN you may ask? The company is backed by Access Industries, a multinational group founded by Sir Leonard Blavatnik, with major investments in media, entertainment, and telecom. Access Industries has a history of scaling companies with strong business models, providing DAZN with the financial backing and industry connections to expand globally.
This support has helped DAZN secure exclusive sports rights — like the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 — and deliver over 86,000 live sports events to 300 million viewers last year. With its parent company's resources, DAZN is well-positioned to keep growing in the competitive sports streaming market.
DAZN brands itself as the "undisputed global home of boxing," with over 185 fights annually. While DAZN Boxing isn't its own standalone brand, it's so popular on the streaming service that it might as well be. But boxing isn't the only draw.
Under the sports tab on its site, besides boxing, you'll find 18 categories, including:
DAZN also has a built-in news section with daily sports updates, independent of media giants like ESPN and Paramount. Some fans might appreciate the fresh, direct-from-the-source coverage.
Another useful feature? The Schedule tab, which categorizes sports by date and lets you plan ahead — right now, listings go all the way through three months from now. What a great way to check if there is any DAZN boxing tonight, right?
Right now, DAZN offers two main subscription plans:
12-Month Monthly Saver – $19.99/month: This plan is designed for fans who want the best long-term value. By committing to a full year at $19.99/month, subscribers get uninterrupted access to DAZN's extensive lineup of sports, including over 150 boxing and MMA fights, expert fight analysis, and exclusive sports documentaries. However, keep in mind that this plan cannot be canceled until the full 12-month term is complete.
Flexible Pass – $29.99/month: If you prefer more flexibility, this rolling monthly subscription lets you cancel anytime with just 30 days' notice. It's a great option for those who want to keep their options open without a long-term commitment. If you decide to cancel, you'll only be charged for the time you've used, thanks to a pro-rata billing system.
DAZN doesn't offer a full free trial, but certain events — the PGA Tour, certain boxing matches, and Super League Basketball — are free to stream. However, to get the full range of sports users have to subscribe.
Additionally, those wanting to watch replays can get a few minutes of clips from a game, but those wanting full game access need to get a subscription. For example, if you're trying to watch an Eastleigh vs. Gateshead National League soccer match, you'll get about two-and-a-half minutes of clips for free.
Is DAZN free if you have Apple TV+? Hulu? DIRECTV STREAM? Fubo? Sadly, no. DAZN is not free if you have any modern streaming service. We know, we wish it was, too. But, you do have to download and pay for the streaming service separately.
In short, DAZN is unique. That's why.
While services like ESPN+ and DIRECTV STREAM focus on mainstream American sports, DAZN stands out by prioritizing combat sports and international soccer — two categories that can be harder to find on other platforms.
With over 150 boxing and MMA fights annually, DAZN has positioned itself as the go-to destination for fight fans, offering live bouts, expert analysis, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Soccer fans also get access to global leagues like LaLiga, UEFA Champions League, and the English Premier League in select markets.
Beyond that, DAZN delivers niche sports that often fly under the radar — powerboat racing, rally car driving, snooker, and even esports — making it a one-of-a-kind streaming service for sports fans looking beyond the usual lineup.
And if you're wondering where you can stream DAZN, it's available on common streaming sticks and boxes, including Roku and Amazon Fire Stick.
DAZN launched in the U.S. in 2015 before quickly expanding internationally in 2016, reaching Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan. By December 2024, it had secured exclusive global broadcasting rights for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, further cementing its presence in key markets like Canada, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, the UK, France, and Taiwan.
Beyond soccer, DAZN holds a 10-year deal with the NFL, making it the only platform where viewers outside the U.S. can stream every game live — no VPN like ExpressVPN or Private Internet Access required.
If you're looking for the best boxing and MMA coverage, DAZN is hard to beat. It's also a solid choice for soccer fans who want international league access, and for anyone interested in niche sports like rally racing, powerboat competitions, and esports.
For U.S. sports, though, it's not a full replacement for networks like ESPN or DIRECTV. But if you want a globally focused sports streaming service with flexible pricing options, DAZN is worth considering.
